Victims Services International.org (VSI) along with other nonprofits in the United States and Germany have almost completed the renovation of the buildings owned by CECAMO women’s group in Leon Nicaragua. Donations and hard work by the women at CECAMO, teams of volunteers, and a belief that the shelter is vital to the community is driving the progress. The shelter is scheduled to open March 9th, to begin a pilot program. No matter what the obstacle or difficulty the work has been completed on schedule. New partnerships are welcome as the shelter, English classes, prevention campaign, and small groups grow.
